This notice describes how Resumeox handles information when you browse the site or use its account-based document tools.
Information you provide
Your account includes your email, authentication identity and any name or avatar you provide. Google or GitHub sign-in may supply profile information through Supabase. Documents can contain contact details, education, work history, skills and other information you enter. Please include only information needed for your application.
Documents, imports and analysis
Resumeox uses browser drafts and recovery storage as well as account-based cloud documents. Cloud saves send document content to Supabase. Review the save status: a draft on this browser is not necessarily synced. PDF/DOCX text extraction, ATS Readiness, Job Match and Resume Compare run in the browser. Job descriptions and comparison results are not silently saved by Resume Compare. Browser-generated resume PDFs and LaTeX stay on the device during rendering; CV and cover-letter PDF export sends the document to the application server for rendering.
How information is used
We use account and document information to sign you in, provide editing and cloud access, produce exports, recover drafts and secure the service. Optional analytics measures site usage when enabled. We do not send resume content to an external AI service. Hosting and authentication infrastructure may process IP addresses and technical request logs for delivery and security.
Public reviews
Submitted reviews can appear publicly with your display name, profile avatar, rating and review text. Do not put private resume details in a review. Your account email and private document contents are not part of the public review feed.
Service providers
Supabase provides authentication, database and avatar storage. Vercel hosts the application and provides optional Web Analytics. Your chosen Google or GitHub provider handles its sign-in flow under its own policies. LaTeX downloads runtime assets from the configured runtime host, currently cdn.siglum.org; that host receives normal connection information, not your source for compilation.
Cookies and browser storage
Necessary authentication cookies, document drafts, recovery records, preferences and compiler caches support requested features. Optional Vercel Web Analytics is disabled until you enable it in Cookie Preferences. Its Web Analytics product is documented as cookie-free; it still involves usage-data processing. See the Cookie Policy for controls and durations.
Retention and deletion
Browser drafts and preferences remain until you remove them or clear site data. Compiler data may also remain in browser caches or IndexedDB. Cloud documents remain until deleted through the document library; clearing browser storage does not delete cloud documents, and deleting a cloud document may leave a browser draft or downloaded backup. Provider backups and logs can follow separate retention schedules. No universal deletion deadline is promised here.
Security and your choices
Access controls and validation help protect your documents, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your account and shared browser profile. You can edit your profile, delete saved documents, download exports, clear browser copies and change analytics preferences without disabling authentication.
Privacy requests and international users
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, withdraw consent or raise a complaint. This includes applicable rights for users in India and relevant U.S. states, including California; eligibility depends on the law and whether it applies to this service. Using providers may involve processing outside your country.
Advertising and changes
The current application does not implement advertising trackers or cross-site advertising features. We have not added a fictitious sale-of-data opt-out control. If purposes or providers materially change, this notice and the versioned privacy choice will be updated as appropriate.
